God only gives the best to those who leave the choice to HIM

Once there was a man who asked God
for a flower ………And a butterfly.

But instead God gave him a cactus
And a caterpillar.

The man was sad, he didn’t understand
Why his request was mistaken.

Then he thought:
Oh Well, God has too many people
To care for.
And decided not to question.

After some time the man went to check up
On his request that he had left forgotten.

To his surprise from the thorny and ugly
Cactus a beautiful flower had grown.
And the unsightly caterpillar had been
Transformed into a most beautiful butterfly.

God always does things right,

His way is always the best way, even
If it seems all wrong.

If you asked God for one thing and received
Another…….TRUST.

You can be sure that he will always give
You what you need at the appropriate time.

What you want…..is not always what you need!

God never fails to grant our petitions, so keep
On going to Him, without doubting or
Murmuring.

Today’s Thorn…is tomorrow’s flower.

God gives the very best to those who leave
The choices up to Him!

Thank you Sis...I loved him, for loving my daughter, but more for loving Christ and HIS Church...Praise God for Bro Damon and every situation He ministered the Love of Christ in. I think of the story of him waiting in line to go into the prison for the first time and how he was almost to the window, when he was called away and realized he was in the line to be admitted into jail....as an inmate....i think of the eve of his death and how we got to the cabin and he had his fishing poles and tackle box out and was going fishing and the HUGE smile on his face....i think of the morning of his death, how Kasey hollared from the back room...."Mom, I have a growth"! and here comes Kasey and Damon, walking in unison and he saying, I'm her growth and the smile on his face and in his eyes.....i think of teasing him about saying "creek" and him teasing me about me saying "crik"!
Oh, I loved him, how I miss his phone calls, how I miss being to talk to him about the Lord and the Holy word, how I miss being able to talk to him about my cares and concerns and asking his advise and how I miss him asking my advise.
He was a gift, a gift from the very depths of Christs heart, for all that came in contact with him. He will never be forgotten....I loved him, like the son i never had. He was special, those of you that knew him, know the special i am talking about....Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord, for Damon.....Thank you.
