It Continues to AMAZE Me

It has been a LONG time since I posted. I am for the most part using Facebook now. What I have to say wouldn't fit on FB....so...most of you know that I have horses, I love my horses....my horses are on pasture through the winter except for 1 month. Where they are, I don't not have power to hook up a stock tank heater, so when it is cold like it is now, I go every morning and every evening to check the stock tank, the last several days, because of the extreme cold, i have broken ice and removed it from the stock tank both morning and nite, if a horse doesn't have water they will dehydrate just like a human. Trying to make this long story short. The Pasture is owned by one man, but the water I pump from is from another man...this morning, i went and broke ice and removed the ice from the tank....this evening i went to check again to make sure the tank was clear of ice....as I approach the tank I notice that a path has been shoveled clear of snow for me from where I get out of my car all the way back to where the stock tank is. . .of course i was delighted and so very thankful, as I am walking back to the tank, not only has the neighbor shoveled the snow for me, but he has filled the stock tank up for me......this brought tears to my eyes....why can't we treat each other the way this man treats me, everytime, all the time? I went to the door in tears and thanked him profusely, he grins at me and says he is happy to do this "LITTLE" thing for me and my horses....people, we gotta get it right. sometimes we treat each other down right rude, we have misunderstandings and friends get their feelings hurt and then we have the audacity to call ourselves "Christians"! I was humbled by this act of kindness......and am so very thankful that this gentleman is in my life and in my horses, they thank him and so do I.

A very noble thought i must say...but i have one more thing to say and that is ..good deeds and goodness is not restricted to religions..one does not have to be a Christian only to do good deeds or vice versa..these qualities are universal to human nature..and they are much beyond the boundaries of religion , color , caste, creed, and nations. i just felt strongly about it , when i read your sentence "we have the audacity to call ourselves Christians" ..just a suggestion dear...replacing "Christians" with "Humans" would have sounded better i guess. plz dont mind my saying all this..it was just what i felt and felt the need to express it. nothing personal. tc

Amen. It is nice to be treated nice, and also nice to treat others nice.

Matthew 7:12 says "... do to others what you would have them do to you ...", but it is also good to note Matt 5:46-48 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+5:46-48&version=NIV).

Happy for you that summer is coming and you wont have to break the ice no more. maybe if everyone acknowledged these good things in life the world would start becoming an awesome place.

If I were to wager a guess at why, I’d say that users don’t “browse” forms. The interaction style users engage in with forms is different, and requires its own study and design best practices. This is a very interesting post, and the comments are also fantastic to read. I’ll have poses to have a little re-think about my own contact form on our new website, as this some interesting questions!

What a kind thing for that man to do. Whatever his motivation, his desire to be kind, and your appreciation of that kindness, says volumes about how our God created us, and the motivations He placed within us. Yes, non-religious people DO do kind things, but those of us who profess religion should be on the forefront of those doing good, not only out of self-interest (feeling good about myself or how I've helped someone), but to give glory to God for what he's done for us.

Amen!
